Deep Woods: The Unicorn Sings to Memory
Deep Woods, for soprano and string orchestra (11'40"), is a setting of a poem by Peter Beagle, author of the beloved fantasy classic The Last Unicorn. The poem is the voice of the unicorn, many, many years after the events of the story; it touches on very human themes of love, loss and sorrow.
