Interior Life
Interior Life, a song cycle for mezzo-soprano and piano on texts by Joy Katz. Duration 14' 10"

The six songs, excerpted from Ms. Katz's book The Garden Room, center around various pieces of furniture and the rich palette of emotion and association they evoke.

The recordings are by Sharon Campbell, mezzo-soprano; Nancy Curry is the pianist and performs the two spoken lines. The two of them gave the world premiere performance at the University of Nebraska at Kearney's 10th Annual New Music Festival, but these recordings were made later.
