These songs are excerpted from the score of an evening-length music theatre piece called
Breath: The Passionate Life and Extraordinary Language of Emily Dickinson, which tells the story of Emily Dickinson's life through excerpts from her letters, settings of her poems and dance (as well as her gingerbread recipe). It was performed at St. Mark's Church in 1996.
These studio recordings feature Kate Kearney-Patch, soprano, and the Sirius String Quartet.
